QAQORTOQ
This project includes the execution of the construction work for Qaqortoq Airport
The new airport at Qaqortoq
The airport will be built with a 1,500-metre instrument runway on the north side of Storefjeld. The runway is positioned so that it can later be extended up to 1,799 metres. The driving distance between the airport and Qaqortoq town will be approx. 6.5 km. The airport is expected to be able to operate with all types of aircraft used internally in Greenland, as well as aircraft that with a fully utilised capacity of 70-100 passengers can fly to the nearby overseas destinations such as Iceland and Iqaluit.
